The Architects and Quantity Surveyors Registration Board in Tanzania is inviting contractors for a tailor  made  training  on  law  of  contract  and  its  application  to  form  a contract  for  building  works  which will be held on  25th -27th May  2016,  at  Tanzania  tea  board, boardroom,  located  on  the 1st floor  of  Tetex  house,  along  Pamba  road, Dar es salaam.

The topic that is set for discussion will be Law of Contract and Its Application to Form a Contract for Building Works. The course will be a daily intense 5 hour session and a group will consist of about  20  participants  per session,  nevertheless,  these  sessions  will  be  repeated  in future.

Some of the target groups that are expected to be present are Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Interior   Designers, Landscape Architects, Building Surveyors, Construction Managers and Project Managers and the facilitator will be Eng. Sudhir Chavda, who has over 45 years experience in the Construction Industry, who  has  administered  over  300  capital  works  and has  served  as  an arbitrator on numerous disputes in Tanzania.

The charge for entry is One Hundred Thousand Tanzanian Shillings only per person to cover for seminar materials and conference facilities. The fee may be paid directly into their account at NBC Ltd, Corporate Branch No.0111 030 11808, or through M-pesa No.  33 11 88.

Architects and Quantity Surveyors Registration Board was established by the Architects and Quantity Surveyors (Registration) Act No 16 of 1997, which was repealed and replaced by Act No 4 of 2010, among its activities is to register and regulate conducts of Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Interior Designers, Landscape Architects, Conservation Architects, Naval Architects, Furniture Architects, Building Surveyors and Construction Managers.

Another function is to promote, monitor and provide continuity professional development opportunities and facilitie for study and training in Architecture, Quantity Surveying and Allied subjects.
