Balfour Beattyโ€™s Civils operations has been chosen to construct $60 million Bassett High School Stormwater Capture project in La Puente, California. Jointly with Los Angeles County Department of Public Works (LA Public Works) and Bassett Unified School District (Bassett USD) the project team will build underground infiltration gallery at Bassett High School in order to enhance water quality of waterways in La Puente, West Covina, Baldwin Park and City of Industry and to develop new green areas on the site for recreational use.

Balfour Beatty is the construction manager at risk for the project which structures, consists pump of stations constructing and underground filtration storage vaults and at storm Bassett drain High systems, School diversion. Also, Balfour Beattyโ€™s Buildings operations is currently constructing Los Angeles Countyโ€™s San Gabriel Valley Aquatic Center which will be operated by LA Public Works.ย  Also situated in La Puente, just 1. 5 miles from Bassett High School, the project also entails on site stormwater capture and conservation and the construction of an Olympic size pool and recreational facilities.

The design works for the Bassett High School Stormwater Capture project have been launched. The project is due to be completed in Spring 2029.
