The preferred bidders have been appointed for the implementation of the North East Link project in Australia have officially been chosen. The bidders are Nexus and AMA consortiums.  

The consortium comprises Symal Infrastructure Pty Ltd, and Laing O’Rourke Australia Construction Pty Ltd. Additionally, the consortium also comprises Arcadis Australia Pacific Pty Ltd, as well as WSP Australia Pty Ltd. On the other hand, the project selected the AMA consortium for the completion of the M80 Ring Road right at Greensborough. The consortium comprises AECOM Australia Pty Ltd as well as Acciona Construction Australia Pty Ltd. Additionally, the MACA Civil Pty Ltd also makes up the AMA consortium.

Scope of Australia’s North East Link project

The works will include a seamless interchange with the North East Link and the Greensborough Bypass as well as new lanes. Additionally, the works will include a brand new multi-level car park at the Watsonia Station.

Noteworthy, the North East Link project will feature walking as well as cycling connections alongside smart technology. The project’s freeway upgrades and tunnels aim to be completed by 2028.
