Mr. David Akolgo Amoah, the Bolgatanga East District Chief Executive announced at a commemoration of Ghana’s 65th Independence Day celebrations themed “Working together, bouncing back better.” in Zuarungu, a town in the Upper East Region of Ghana east of Bolgatanga, that construction works are underway for the Bolgatanga East District Hospital.

Mr. Amoah praised traditional officials, opinion leaders, and landowners for donating land for the construction of the Bolgatanga East District Hospital. He also requested district stakeholders to support the project so as to guarantee its timely completion.

Bolgatanga East District Hospital Construction project to be carried out under Ghana’s agenda 111

The Bolgatanga East District Hospital Construction project according to Amoah will be carried out as part of agenda 111, the West African country government’s program to build modern district and regional hospitals in districts and regions without hospitals.

The initiative is intended to address health concerns and reduce the health gap among Ghanaians by offering high-quality health facilities across the country. Among the eight districts benefiting from the package is the Bolgatanga East District, and work in some of the recipient regions has already begun.

The facility, according to the Bolgatanga East District Chief Executive will be equipped with modern equipment to offer people quality healthcare once the project is completed.

Governments commitment to addressing development challenges of Ghanaians

Mr. Amoah explained that the government of the West African country was committed to addressing the development challenges of Ghanaians, especially the education sector and it was against that backdrop that the Free Senior High School Education policy was introduced to relieve the financial burden on parents.
