Following the decision of Reload Logistics and Trading to invest in construction of a new $5m Zambia road transport terminal at the Kasumbalesa border post, Zambia, the facility is set to begin.
The facility, which will handle 40,000 tons of storage capacity, will help connect DRC and Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) region and improve delivery of goods between the two. In addition, the two regions are expected to realize better services with regard to customs brokerage, freight management, trade facilitation, warehousing and distribution according to reports.
In addition to the plans to help in construction of a new $5m Zambia road transport terminal, Reload Logistics and Trading has announced that it will be spending $20m in similar facilities in the coming two years with preference to the area registering most potential growth for them in the health supply chain, agriculture and energy sectors.
The company will also help improve Zambian economy through revenue collection and efficiency, in addition to the investments made to help in construction of a new $5m Zambia road transport terminal.
The government has also said that it will improve road networks to make logistics more efficient according to the Zambia Copperbelt Province Minister Mwenya Musenge.
