The Provincial Governor of Huila Province João Marcelino Tyipinge has launched the construction of a 26 km new ring road of Lubango in the province. The project was launched Tuesday this week.

The new road construction project, which is estimated cost US$ 0.04bn will facilitate the connection between the urban city of Quilemba and Eywa. The nine meter wide road will run from Eywa city to Quilemba, and will cross the National Highway n0120.

Construction work on the 26 km-long new ring road of Lubango will take 18 months, and among the structures to be set up include a concrete layer, as well as the placement of edges, bridges and asphalt.

In addition to this road construction project, the public programmes fund is constructing 200 residential houses in Eywa toen, and another 11 000 houses in Quilemba.
