The Ministry of Roads and Highways, via the Ghana Highway Authority, stated recently that the rehabilitation of the Bawjiase-Kasoa Road has begun.
Kasoa features a sizable market area that draws plenty of people for trade and business. Bawjiase is located along the road corridor. Other towns located along the road corridor include Adawukwao, Jei Krodua, Gyan Nkwanta, Anomawobi, Mankomeda, Oklu Nkwanta, and Ofaakor.
The Bawjiase-Kasoa Road has the regional road designation R15. It connects Bawjiase in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region to Kasoa.

As a result of the commercial operations in Kasoa and Bawjiase, the population and land use of these cities and the adjacent areas are rapidly increasing. Because of the poor condition of the road corridor, it is difficult to transfer people, products, and services.
When the Bawjiase-Kasoa road is finished, it will make it easier to access markets and other business areas. Additionally, it will provide efficient transportation and healthcare delivery.
Overview of the Bawjiase-Kasoa Road project
The crucial Bawjiase-Kasoa road project, which is anticipated to be finished in two years, will connect the Central Region to the southern section of the Eastern Region and relieve traffic on the Kasoa-Accra-Nsawam stretch.
The project is being carried out by General Construction Limited and is being entirely funded by the Government of Ghana.
Over the years, local chiefs have submitted many requests to various governments for the construction of the Bawjiase-Kasoa Road.
The 25 km Bawjiase-Agona Swedru road and the 15 km Bawjiase-Adeiso road, are parts of the 70 km of major trunks that have been finished throughout the region since 2017.
The government has already finished building the Bawjiase-Adeiso Road. In addition, it has also completed the Bawjiase-Swedru Road, which is located in the Awutu-Senya constituency.
