Balfour Beatty has been awarded the tender to construct Fife College new campus in Dunfermline, Scotland. Preliminary work is about to start out in September on the 58-acre site. The Scottish Government agreed in September 2019 to issue £90m in capital funding for the project, and therefore the procurement process started early this year. The school declared that it had selected Balfour Beatty after a purchase process during which they received “several strong bids”.
The college development is a component of an excellent learning-campus masterplan for the location , which can later cause new buildings for 2 local high schools. the entire cost for the entire project, including the school , is estimated at £180m to £200m. the 2 high-school projects will jointly get funded by Fife Council and therefore the Scottish Government.
