The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) and Miral recently announced the teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi project’s progress.

The leading creator of immersive destinations and experiences is responsible for landmark projects in reputable regions such as Yas Island. Furthermore, Miral has been able to strengthen the emirate’s reputation as a worldwide, tourism destination.

The teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi Project is a result of Miral’s partnership with teamLab. The international, Tokyo-based art collective seeks to navigate the confluence of art, technology, the natural world, and science.

The interdisciplinary group of specialists includes and ranges from engineers, artists, mathematicians, programmers, and architects. Alongside Miral, teamLab strive, for the project to ignite curiosity as well as new forms of perception.

teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi project to ignite limitless creativity 

The project’s location is within the Saadiyat Cultural District, with a total area of 17,000 meters squared (GFA). The building has been accompanied by unapparelled installations, which have been created through an extensive experimentation process.

The Undersecretary at DCT Abu Dhabi excitedly spoke about the project. Saood Abdulaziz Al Hosani noted that the project strives to inspire generations to embark on journeys of discovery and limitless creativity.

Furthermore, Saood Abdulaziz added, the project is a prime showcase of the delivery of our vision in welcoming the world to Abu Dhabi. Most importantly, the teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi project will be a milestone of progress and innovation.

The CEO of Miral, Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, on the other hand, said that the project’s development demonstrates the company’s commitment. Furthermore, he said, the project will serve as a contributor to the evolution of Abu Dhabi’s cultural landscape.

As it stands, the project’s completion is scheduled for 2024. Thereafter, the project will stand tall, amongst great developments like the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, and the universally recognized museum, Louvre Abu Dhabi.
