Lincoln Property Company, a Dallas-based real estate developer, intends to begin construction on The Edge, a 35-story mixed-use tower which is the second phase of the company’s Church Street project in Orlando. This 35-story tower will be replacing the former Ballroom at Church Street Station and a demolition permit has already been obtained to raze this 43,000-square-foot building on 225 S. Garland Ave which was built in 1994.
The Edge Tower will be built just north of Lincoln’s $133 million Phase I Church Street project, the SunTrust Plaza which is a 28-story tower completed in 2020. The new tower for phase II is designed by the architect Baker Barrios and will feature about 230 residential units, 200,000 square feet of office space, and 4,000 square feet of retail space. The most current design of the building depicts a multi-faceted tower, with an arranged grid of windows going up the first 15 floors of the building’s exterior; the windows also seem to be clad in something that resembles metal panels or smooth stucco.

The building design of The Edge Tower also includes other amenities for the convenience of guests such as touchless recognition, balconies on each floor and the provision of an integrated SunRail station at the Church Street stop. In addition, prospective guests can also look forward to a club level on the 20th floor of The Edge Tower that offers several hangout spots which include a dining area, bar, meeting rooms, a pool, private lounge, and a health and wellness salon, with fitness equipment.
Senior vice president of brokerage services at Lincoln Property Company, Aaron Dan spoke about the attractive features of the new tower. Dan said that the office tenants and other residents of The Edge Tower would experience the unmatched sunset and sunrise views of Orlando.
The Director of the Florida Region, Shayna Hansen also supported the project. Hansen said, “We are very excited to add this spectacular tower to the landscape of downtown Orlando.”
