Why the police station project was initiated
The $4 million police station was built as a consequence of an increase in criminal activity in the area. This is according to MFEZ Managing Director Kennedy Mwila.
A few companies and investors in the zone, have suffered damage to expensive infrastructures. This includes water pipes and transformers as well as power lines and lines.
In addition, five bodies had been discovered in the area within the last 20 months, he said. He noted that murders had also been committed within the zone.
He stated that this threat to investment assets, capital, and life is why LS MFEZ Limited has planned to construct a police station. The police station will give assurance of security at the zone
