Work is underway at Northside Hospital Forsyth on a major campus expansion that includes a four-story medical office building and new parking garage. Hospital leaders marked the start of construction with a ceremonial groundbreaking Wednesday morning, with an estimated completion set for fall 2026.
The 120,000-square-foot facility—the 2500 Medical Office Building—is the campus’ sixth medical office and is already in demand. The building, partners say, is 98% leased more than a year before opening, a sign of growing demand from the community for clinical space.
Approved by Northside, Healthpeak Properties and eight teams of physician investors who built it in collaboration, the project is designed to expand access to services like pulmonology, colorectal and thoracic surgery, imaging, and neurology.
Parking Spots
Site plans feature nearly 900 parking spots and a direct connection to Deputy Bill Cantrell Highway, increasing access for patients and staff.
Northside Forsyth CEO Lynn Jackson framed the construction as the next phase in campus growth, noting that the new medical office will be bigger than the hospital’s original building and is intended to enhance patient experience and clinical performance.
Forsyth County Chamber President and CEO Alex Warner said continued investment by Northside supports local job growth and enhances the county’s sales pitch to businesses weighing the market for expansion.
Since its launch in Forsyth County in 2002, Northside has grown from 41 to 407 beds and counted more than 800,000 patient encounters in 2024, remaining ahead of one of Georgia’s fastest-growing counties.
