Quarterra has partnered with Nuveen Real Estate to break ground on Emblem Cane Bay North in Summerville, South Carolina.

However, this project is the initial phase of their garden-style community development which will take place in two phases. According to the developers, the project offers 312 apartment homes to provide more housing options for middle income renters.

Quarterra’s Development Manager, Beach Corontzes also said Emblem Cane Bay North was located within easy reach of everything residents need. It provides convenient access to neighborhood schools, retail centers, dining, employment hubs and prime commuter routes.

Additionally, the project’s location at 44000 Owl Wood Lane is within walking distance of Cane Bay Plantation bike and pedestrian trails.

Development plans for the Emblem Cane Bay North project

The 312 unit Emblem Cane Bay North will include a mix of one, two and three bedroom apartment homes. The apartments on the property will have varying sizes ranging from 738 to 1,434 square feet.

Furthermore, all units will be furnished with kitchen island pendants, stainless steel Whirlpool appliances, and quartz countertops. Additional amenities include backsplash, luxury vinyl plank flooring throughout with carpet in bedrooms and considerable walk-in closets.

The community also provides facilities to encourage all an active lifestyle. Therefore, all residents will have access to the community clubhouse with an indoor lounge, and swimming pool with a deck-side sunshelf.

On top of that, it also features two outdoor grilling stations and an on-site dog park. The apartment will incorporate a design that maximizes natural light and all units will include high quality bathroom finishes.

Besides Emblem Cane Bay North, Quarterra is also undertaking several other high-profile projects across the nation. Several of such developments include The Piper Apartments, a 284-unit community in Seattle, and The Harper, a 256-unit partially affordable community outside of Boston.

Thus far the developer has completed 7,765 units from 2019 to 2021, with 7,619 units currently under construction.
