Dallas-based Green Point Property Company is planning to build its largest industrial project in the Austin metropolitan region named GTX Logistics Park. This multiphase industrial project is intended to cater to users in need of 400,000 to 1.45 million square feet of space, for industrial or distribution purposes and the groundbreaking of this industrial park has been scheduled for the first quarter of 2022.
The 3 million square feet GTX Logistic Park is meant to be built in several phases, on a 231-acre site at FM 972 and County Road 141; which is situated within a Qualified Opportunity Zone in Georgetown. According to the developers, this location is quite desirable due its extraterritorial jurisdiction zoning and triple freeport tax-exempt status, which offer numerous possibilities for tax advantages. This industrial park, on completion, will become one of the largest in Georgetown, with an enormous space that is comparable in size to about 28 typical Walmart stores. It will consist of parking spaces, trailer storage, and options for custom-made Industrial and distribution spaces, ranging between 400,000 square feet to 1.45 million square feet, available for housing various materials and jobs.
