Signature HealthCARE recently celebrated the groundbreaking of its $22 million Signature Healthcare of Elizabethtown, which is to be purchased and owned by the California-based Sabra Health Care REIT Inc. The Louisville-based Signature HealthCARE, whose major line of business is running nursing homes, will be in charge of recruitment, management of the building, and also overseeing the health care services provided.
The new 124-bed facility, named Signature Healthcare of Elizabethtown, is to be developed at the site of an already existing 112-bed facility, operated by Signature Healthcare. The new nursing home will take the place of the already existing facility and create jobs for upto 150 full-time and part-time employees. Besides providing 124 beds for long-term care residents, the new facility will also feature several amenities which include 60 private rooms; four nursing stations; two dining rooms; an on-site Dialysis facility; a therapy gym, with cutting edge equipment; and an adjoined outdoor therapy courtyard.

The Chief Development Officer for Signature HealthCARE, Nick Jacoby, pointed out that the main aim of the company was to revolutionize healthcare, through their Signature Healthcare of Elizabethtown project and help their beloved residents live purposeful lives. Jacoby also said, “So, we couldn’t be more excited about this opportunity. While our current facility in Elizabethtown is meeting the needs of our residents and staff, we see the potential for growth and the value of revolutionary upgrades, for the utmost care of our residents and staff.”
Elizabethtown Councilman Marty Fulkerson described the Signature Healthcare of Elizabethtown project as a true win for Kentucky. Fulkerson was also grateful to Signature HealthCARE for making such a great investment in the community and improving the standard of living in the area.
Other companies involved in the Signature Healthcare of Elizabethtown project include Louisville-based Schaefer, serving as the contractor; Indianapolis-based ArcDesign, serving as the architect; and Indianapolis-based Avenue Development, who are the developers of the project. The initial stages of the construction have already commenced and the project is expected to be completed by Fall of 2022.
