The construction phase is scheduled to last 12 months, with at least 50 temporary work opportunities expected to be produced throughout that time.

The Mqanduli DLTC development project, according to Nelani, will relieve the strain at the Mthatha branch once it is completed, while also providing integrated services.

The Mqanduli DLTC, according to Nelanis, will be a one-stop shop in the sense that services such as vehicle registration, vehicle license renewal, and driving license testing will all be integrated at the center. It will also bring services closer to those in Elliotdale and Coffee Bay, who previously had to go to Mthatha.

He further stated that the Mqanduli Driving Licence Testing Centre will be outfitted with cutting-edge technology to ensure effective service delivery.

The testing field, parking area, and staff offices, including the office of the chief traffic police, as well as a storage office, were all part of the 548m2 Mqanduli DLTC’s scope of work.
