Plano-based luxury auto garage company, Maranello has announced plans to build Texas’ first luxury sports car facility in Plano just for sports car owners. The 200,000-square-foot complex will have garage condos that face inside and other high-dollar amenities to provide customers a unique place for their cars. The project, conceived by Dallas real estate developer and racing fan Michael Holigan, the project will be a haven for collectors with a passion for racing, cars, and motorcycles.
It will be at the northeast corner of Ohio Drive and Maple Shade Lane near George W. Bush Turnpike in Plano. It is close to Highland Park, University Park, and to the Dallas-Fort Worth major airport. Pre-construction activities have started. So, final opening days are expected in Spring 2026.
A One-of-a-Kind Experience for Car Collectors
The upscale garage will have 79 customizable garage condos, each ranging from 1,000 to 2,000 square feet, that provide individually metered utilities, steel mezzanines, and even a set of their own. Each condo will be fully fitted with app-controlled heating and cooling systems and glass garage doors opening within the building for all-season convenience.
“What we’re building here is completely unique to Texas,” said Michael Holigan, Maranello’s CEO. “We’ve designed it so owners can drive directly into the building to reach their garage condos. With all garages facing inward, collectors can socialize and connect with fellow enthusiasts regardless of the weather outside. Our vision goes beyond storage – we’re creating a sports car Facility where car collectors can form lasting bonds and build a genuine community.”
A Premier Venue for Car Shows
The venue will also offer a 13,000 square feet, two-story lounge, and an open-air 60,000 square feet concourse for public as well as private events. “This will be the premier location for car shows in Texas,” adds Holigan as he emphasizes that the emphasis is on coming together of car enthusiasts from this whole region including others out of town.
This project has our full support,” Mayor John B. Muns of Plano emphasized. “Maranello’s luxury sports car facility in Plano is designed to be an exceptional destination for automotive enthusiasts, and we’re thrilled that construction is now starting in our city.
Building a Community for Enthusiasts
With a growing population of high-end sports car collectors in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Maranello is designed to be a unique space where car enthusiasts can come together, share their passion, and protect their prized collections. “Every aspect of our design focuses on creating an exceptional environment – both for collectors to display and safeguard their prized vehicles, and for hosting major automotive events that will draw enthusiasts from across the country to North Texas,” Holigan added.
