Saudi Alturki Holding Group, a construction group owned by the family of Osama bin Laden is planning to construct a US$1.5 billion 514-meter tower in Casablanca, the economic capital of Morocco. The new tower is expected to be the tallest building in Africa.
The US$1.5 billion construction project will be sited in the downtown area of Anfa City.
The company’s Executive Director Osama el-Husseiny said the building will feature the latest technologies and noted that the tower will have the number of floors identical to the number of chapters in the Quran – 114-storeys.
The company’s Executive Director Osama el-Husseiny said the group is also planning to construct a modern city in Bouskoura, south of Casablanca, which will extend 250-hectares.
Mr. Osama routed for the opening of a joint chamber of commerce and contacts between investors and Morocco, as a remedy to raise Gulf States’ investments in the North African country, which were on a declining path.
