Expectations for the Northern Beaches road project road safety and congestion upgrades project
Upon the completion of the project, the Narrabeen down to the Frenchs Forest section of the road will feature turning lanes. This will consequently reduce crashes as well improving the corridor’s efficiency.
Moreover, the road will be able to save traveling time for commuters and significantly improve access to the Northern Beaches Hospital. Additionally, the upgrade works will improve the southbound lane capacity on approach to the Frenchs Forest.
The Minister for Metropolitan Roads spoke about the Northern Beaches road project. Natalie Ward noted that the project is within an incredible bushland setting. “It will, therefore,” she said “deliver minimized impacts to both the community as well as the environment.”
On the other hand, the State Minister for Infrastructure Rob Stokes welcomed the project saying that the sections of Wakehurst Parkway are some of the most dangerous and unsafe spots, a situation that the Northern Beaches road project road safety and congestion upgrades project will reverse.Â
