The ground breaking of a $50 Million RNDC Wine Distribution Center took place recently in Louisville. Republic National Distributing Co., a distributor of premium wine and spirits, is planning to build its 326,000-square-foot facility at 2801 Blankenbaker Parkway, which will include both warehouse and office spaces.

Expansion of new RNDC Wine Distribution Center to create jobs in Louisville

This new RNDC Wine Distribution Center will be the company’s new base, as they will be relocating there, from their current facility located at 2300 Stanley Gault Parkway, in Louisville. The relocation and expansion project will create 30 full-time jobs consisting of a new sales department and operations support. Development plans show that the facility will feature an upgraded conveyor system, along with a dedicated line to feed the facility’s palletizing machine. In addition, the operation will also make use of an eco-friendly design, which includes the use of highly efficient LED lighting.

RNDC’s Wine Distribution Center is expected to become fully operational by August 2022; it is aimed at adding to the thriving logistics and distribution industry in Kentucky and also contributing to the growth of the commonwealth’s spirits industry. According to executive VP of RNDC’s Kentucky operations, Don Wolz, RNDC is into the marketing and distribution of over 9,000 unique brands of wine and spirits products to various establishments located all around the commonwealth area such as bars, restaurants, hotels and liquor package stores. Wolz also spoke on the company’s dedication and vision, stating that the land purchase and investment made towards developing the new building, demonstrates RNDC’s continuous commitment towards the growth of its business in Kentucky.

Gov. Andy Beshear also praised the RNDC Wine Distribution Center project, stating that the provision of quality jobs to residents of Kentucky was crucial to the continued growth and development of the state. Beshear also said,”RNDC’s continued growth is good for the commonwealth’s bottom line, the company also provides a key link for our thriving bourbon and spirits industry to safely and efficiently reach consumers.”
