A skydiving attraction venue in Osceola County named the SkydiveXperience Venue, is scheduled to break ground by late 2022. The International Skydiving Museum & Hall of Fame has plans of starting construction on this skydiving project by 2023 and the cost of the development is estimated at $45 million.

Located at the U.S. Highway 192 tourist district, just down the street from Walt Disney World; the SkydiveXperience Venue will be developed on an approximately 3-acre site, co-owed by the Intl Skydiving Museum & Hall of Fame Corp. and Inclined Labs Inc. This new skydiving venue will consist of a trio of entertainment features which include a wingsuit wind tunnel, a vertical wind tunnel and the 30,000-square-foot  International Skydiving Museum and Hall of Fame.

The Director of development at the International Skydiving Museum & Hall of Fame, Jim McCormick gave details about the three attractions which will be featured at the SkydiveXperience Venue. McCormick said that at the International Skydiving Museum and Hall of Fame, virtual-reality components and simulators will be included, which will enable visitors to experience the thrill of jumping off a plane from thousands of feet above ground level. He said the museum also offers other  interactive and engaging experiences for guests to learn more about the skydiving sport; through exhibits on the history of skydiving technology, world records, the science behind the activity and a lot more.

Two wind tunnels at the SkydiveXperience Venue

The two wind tunnels at the SkydiveXperience Venue will also be available for guests who prefer to experience skydiving physically.  McCormick mentioned that participants of the vertical wind tunnel will experience conventional freefall and a sense of weightlessness, and levitation. He said the wingsuit tunnel also offers a thrilling experience, where the participants are to be hooked up to a harness and then take flight down the chamber, while wearing their wingsuits. Instructors will be available to brief the participants before they make the jump.

According to McCormick, the conceptual plans have been finalized and the fundraising to build the SkydiveXperience Venue is currently in progress. McCormick stated that the design and permitting process would be initiated at the end of the year. He was also hopeful that the construction would start by the end of 2023, which would mean that the project would take about 12-18 months to complete. Construction costs of the ancillary wind tunnels are being covered by the firms in charge of overseeing the attractions. Sweden-based Indoor Wingsuit Stockholm is responsible for overseeing the wingsuit tunnel, but the operator responsible for the vertical tunnel is still yet to be named.
