  1. To the author of this story: The Great Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) is being built with a budget of over $4 billion. It will generate 6,500 MW of electricity. As its name implies, the dam is being built in Ethiopia. Obviously, GERD is by far larger than the Stiegler’s Gorge dam hydro power project.
    Now, my questions are:
    1. Is Ethiopia not an East African country?
    2.Is the writer not aware of the GERD project?
