Updated 15th September 2025 – Construction has officially begun on the expansion of Terminal E at Boston’s Logan International Airport. The $450 million project, led by Skanska, will deliver a new 67,400-square-meter (725,000-square-foot) multi-story parking garage on the current Terminal E site. The facility will offer about 4,000 parking spaces, with dedicated areas for ground transportation on the lower level.
Plans also call for a new vehicular bridge linking the garage to the existing central parking complex and a pedestrian bridge connecting it directly to the terminals. Arrival and departure roadways will be reconfigured to improve access to the new facility.
Sustainability features include the installation of solar photovoltaic panels to offset electricity use. The project will pursue Parksmart certification from the Green Building Certification Institute. Completion of the garage is expected in 2030. The project joins a list of other major US airports currently undertaking terminal expansion works.
