The groundbreaking of a luxury Senior Living Community in Dilworth,  North Carolina was recently announced by the Bridgewood Property Company, who purchased the project’s site  for around $11.5 million. 

Located at  727 E. Morehead, near Dilworth, Eastover and Myers Park, the Senior Living Community in Dilworth, will offer up to 199 exclusive independent apartments for seniors.  The building is designed to be 12 stories high and the property will also feature assisted living spaces. 

Other notable additions to the construction will include a fitness center, an indoor pool, a room for card games, and a lecture hall. It will also house a cinema, libraries as well as casual dining options. Residents will benefit from varying activities within the community, ranging from guest lectures to wellness campaigns such as therapy and social functions.

Bridgewood founder James Gray said in a statement that the site on East Morehead is an ideal location for developing this Senior Living Community in Dilworth, as it will maintain the existing lifestyle of the people, as well as promote access to hospital and medical facilities while offering the residents the necessary convenience to live comfortably. 

The Architectural firm BB+M  along with LandDesign, a civil engineering firm based in Charlotte are responsible for the designs of The Village on Morehead, while the project’s construction is to be managed and supervised by Choate Construction.

Harrison Street, one of the leading investment management firms in alternative assets, will be partnering with Bridgewood, due to their extensive track record in the development and management of exclusive adult living communities. These two partner companies seek to deliver a premium senior accommodation with high-quality amenities that are attractive to residents in such a lively city.

Operations of the Senior Living Community in Dilworth after completion, will be handled by Bridgewood’s long-time partner, Retirement Center Management (RCM), who are well renowned for their exceptional management of senior living properties to ensure quality of life and gracious living. The completion period for the project is postulated to be sometime in the fall of 2023.
