Construction of the mixed-use Brightwater Mississauga mixed-use project on Port Credit waterfront in Mississauga has been progressing according to company reports. Port Credit West Village Partners, a joint venture of Diamond Corp, Dream Unlimited, FRAM + Slokker, and the Kilmer Group, is replacing the Imperial Oil Lands to the southwest of Lakeshore Road West and Mississauga Road with over 2,500 condominium units and 400 townhomes connected by 18 acres of green space. While the whole community was master-planned by COBE Architects and Giannone Petricone Associates, Diamond Schmitt Architects is now developing Brightwater I, Brightwater II, and the neighborhood’s retail commercial structure.

Brightwater I and II condos

Brightwater I and II are two condos that will extend the Port Credit retail strip to the west will provide an entrance into the neighborhood. Brightwater I, a boutique five-story, mixed-use building with 76 suites that will face Lakeshore Road, can be seen above the blue and red crane, while Brightwater II, a 14-story mixed-use building with 235 units, will rise to the right of the shorter, white crane. The retail and commercial structure will rise soon beneath the higher, white crane to the left of the two Brightwater towers.

Brightwater II’s subterranean parking levels have been finished, and the forming work has reached grade, however, Brightwater I’s ground floor slab is still to arrive. The retail commercial structure is still in the early stages of construction. The whole site has been cleaned and remediated, with the exception of a handful of ponds that will be progressively drained and replaced with future stages. The Mason, designed by architects—Alliance, and the Brightwater Towns, designed by superkül, will be built to the southwest of Brightwater II.
