HG Construction has been awarded a tender as the main contractor for the SCAPE’s new student accommodation project in Leeds. The project, set to be developed on the Santander’s former building on Merrion Street, will become Scape’s first student accommodation project in Leeds and the first ever development in the city for HG Construction.

The project will comprise a purpose-built student accommodation with shared amenity areas like communal kitchens, cinema, gym, study and breakout areas, a fourth-floor terrace developed with outside area, cycle storage at ground level, as well as a double retail units set at the ground floors. The whole scheme will be set in two blocks, one with 11 storeys and the other 32 storeys.
