Vistry Group is getting ready to commence construction on the Western Gate scheme in Northampton which incorporates over 400 homes. The project is located near Northampton and the construction will start next year. The Western Gate scheme in Harpole will need reserved matters planning consent before work can start on modern homes and school which the house building is contributing £6m.
The planning phase is expected to end by this year together with the section 106 agreement which includes community contributions towards the primary school, play facilities, local centre, a library and highway work. Western Gate’s design also incorporates the retention of existing trees and retaining a green infrastructure that will be enhanced through tree planting. Public footpaths will extend through the development connecting the existing and proposed network making sure that public, pedestrian access to properties and the surrounding area. The two, three and four-bedroom houses will be five miles from Northampton town centre, with good access to the M1, plenty of local amenities and a selection of ‘Good’ Ofsted-rated schools around.

Affordable Housing in Western Gate scheme in Northampton
