Lendlease and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments) have establishment a new 50:50 joint venture partnership at International Quarter London (IQL) to develop a new office-led neighbourhood. The partnership builds the existing joint ventures between Lendlease and CPP Investments further. Some of their projects include established schemes at the Milano Innovation District in Italy, Barangaroo in Sydney, Australia and Elephant Park in London, U.K.

 

The partnership is set to develop the Turing Building, devoting around £215 million from the joint venture. The Turing development is one of four major new office buildings planned for International Quarter London, when fully developed they are together expected to offer a total development area of 1.6m square feet, with £1.5bn estimated gross development value.

International Quarter London: A vibrant hub for creative industry, business and innovation in East London

The Turing Building is designed by award winning architects Arney Fender Katsalidis and construction is set to start in early 2022. When completed, it will offer 350,000 square feet of flexible Grade A workspace, boutique cinema and a retail space. International Quarter London is already home to world-class institutions like the Cancer Research UK, Transport for London, the British Council and Unicef. It is section of SHIFT, One of London’s modern innovation district which focuses on finding answers to the real, every-day problems facing cities and citizens.
