Plans Set for Construction of New LHR21 Facility for Vantage Data Centers in London
Reported April 27, 2023 – Contract for the construction of Vantage’s new data center in London has been awarded. The contract was awarded to Glencar, a leading construction delivery partner, growing to become one of the UK’s most successful privately-owned contractors.
Located close to Heathrow Airport, the new 194,000-square-foot, six-story data center will supply online data services to various businesses and enterprises. It is thus expected to generate 20 MW of output.
The 1.2-acre broader site campus is being prepared for construction by Glencar’s specialized data center team. The LHR21 facility for Vantage Data Centers in London is expected to complete in early 2025. The Glencar team also collaborated as part of the “Contractor Alliance” to complete LHR21 with Essex Services Group (ESG), a renowned leader in building services in the data center industry.

Project Scope
The LHR21 facility for Vantage Data Centers in London will feature the most state-of-the-art electrical equipment. These will provide maximum efficiency and reliability, advanced cooling systems designed to be climate independent. This is also being environmentally responsible and physical and electronic security systems, including industry-leading security management.
