Any construction requires smooth work of organizational and production chain consisting of three links and involving engagement of absolutely independent contractors at each stage:

Stage 1 – production of concrete (or mortar) in accordance with the Technical Design Assignment of the general developer. The contractor is represented by a concrete plant located at a certain distance from the construction site. Herewith, the plant works in accordance with its own production schedule.
Stage 2 – delivery of produced concrete or mortar to the construction site where it will be used. Here, a shipping company providing vehicles for transportation acts as the contractor.
Stage 3 – use of delivered concrete or mortar at the construction site in accordance with the intended purpose.

In this logistic scheme, the developer appears to be the most vulnerable link as it depends on a great number of factors including but not limited to:
• Issues that the supplier of concrete has with regard to quality of produced concrete mix;
• Direct dependence on the work schedule of the concrete plant;
• Issues relating to the time of delivery of concrete mix and preservation of its quality; prevention of concrete segregation;
• Direct dependence on working efficiency of vehicles used by the company shipping concrete.

All negative factors in total have an adverse effect on the final result that is the term of completion and quality of construction. Herewith, the developer becomes “a whipping boy”. The customer does not care about problems of the concrete plant or breakage of motor concrete mixers. It is the developer who will have to bear responsibility for it. Therefore, the general contractor has to keep an eye on things relating to work of each link of the chain while going deeply into any trifle matter concerning work of the sub-contractors. And many unfair “bad characters” openly make use of it.

Concrete plants of COMPACT series manufactured by ZZBO give solid arguments in favor of changes in the strategy of construction companies/developers. Many major construction companies have their own concrete plants. Therefore, they do not depend on unreliable suppliers of ready-mixed concrete of questionable quality. However, in this case from time to time the company may have difficulties caused by completion of construction activity at the particular construction site and need for dismantling of the stationary concrete mixing plant including the entire infrastructure to move it to a new remote area.

COMPACT concrete plants are the best choice for optimum handling of this complicated problem. Let us make it simpler, if the construction company has its own COMPACT plant, it simply does not have a problem relating to panic relocation, which may be compared with a fire. In this case, it has the following advantages:
• COMPACT concrete plant may be dismounted within a couple of hours;
• To relocate COMPACT plant, it is enough to use only one vehicle with cargo space of 82 cubic meters;
• To locate COMPACT plant at a new site, no conventional concrete ground fitted with a skip pit is needed. Hard and level surface will do;
• Deployment of COMPACT concrete plant takes only one day. Herewith, no start-up operation is needed.

Positive Aspects of Use of ZZBO COMPACT Concrete Mixing Plant

Possible placement of concrete production facility in the immediate vicinity of the construction site makes it possible to achieve a number of positive results having direct effect on cost effectiveness of construction:
• Cutting of expenses for transportation of concrete mix;
• Independence from road traffic conditions (traffic jams, accidents) along the route of the motor concrete mixer to the construction site;
• Quality control of produced concrete mix for compliance with the technical design basis; possible prompt adjustment of its parameters;
• Possible wide application of construction technologies using cast-in-place concrete;
• Availability of the own concrete mixing plant included into the construction cycle makes it possible to work in two or three shifts which significantly speeds up construction without deterioration of its quality.

Thus, it would be ideal for the developer to locate a concrete mixing plant at the construction site to produce concrete of the required grade and in the required amount in accordance with the work schedule. This concrete plant may be operated at the site in two and three shifts, which makes the construction more cost effective and significantly reduces the construction time. Moreover, purchase of COMPACT concrete mixing plant ensures elimination of negative effects relating to movement of the plant from one construction site to another. Therefore, all positive aspects of quick-erected concrete plants make it possible for the contractors to prove themselves as reliable partners and to gain advantages over competitors.
