As part of Continuous Professional Development Programme (Practice Note No.37, Cap 525, Laws of Kenya), the Architects and Quantity Surveyors Registration Board of Kenya (BORAQS) invites Registered Architects and Quantity Surveyors and those seeking registration to a Two day CPD Seminar on Thursday & Friday 1st & 2nd September, 2016 at Safari Park Hotel, Thika Road, Nairobi.
The theme of the Training is “PROJECT FINANCING AND INVESTMENT PLANNING”. This invitation is extended to Real Estate Developers, Engineers, Planners, EIA Experts, Procurement Practioners, Contractors, all relevant Practitioners in the Built Environment and other interested persons.
At the end of the program, participants will be able to understand the following topics;

Opportunities and Challenges in Project Financing in Kenya
Investment Policies in Kenya
Real Estate Investment Opportunities in Kenya
Management of Project Financing Agreements
B: PARTICIPATION FEES
Participants will pay as follows;
Registered Persons Kshs.20,000.00
Year 2016 Candidates Kshs.12,000.00
Other Participants Kshs.25,000.00
Payment will be either by cheque or cash as follows;
1) Cheque Payment
Payment by cheque should reach the Board’s Secretariat office located at Transcom Building Annex Ngong Road, Nairobi by Wednesday, 24th August, 2016 at 5:00 p.m.
2) Cash Payment
Cash Payment to be deposited to National Bank of Kenya, Hill Branch, Account Name: BORAQS, Account No. 0124131524900. The deposit slip should be submitted to the Secretariat in exchange for an official receipt by Wednesday, 24th August 2016 at 5:00 p.m.
3) Late Payment
Late payment will attract an extra charge of Kshs. 5,000.00
4) Course Duration:
The training will take a total of Sixteen (16) Hours.
Registered persons will earn Twelve (12) CPD Points and a certificate of attendance. It is mandatory for registered persons to attain a minimum of Thirty (30) CPD points per year.
C: RENEWAL OF ANNUAL PRACTISING CERTIFICATES
All registered persons are hereby reminded that the renewal deadline for Annual Practicing Certificates for year 2016/2017 is 1st September, 2016. Registered persons who will not meet this requirement by the set date shall be removed from the register and restoration shall be in accordance with the provisions of Cap 525.
