Project Clydesdale is a $1 billion data center campus now under construction in Tulsa County, marking a major milestone for Oklahoma’s expanding digital infrastructure sector. Work officially began during a groundbreaking ceremony in October 2025 that highlighted a strong public-private partnership between Beale Infrastructure and state and local leaders. The initiative is expected to deliver long-term economic growth, strengthen utility capacity, and create significant workforce opportunities for the region, positioning Tulsa County as a key hub for next-generation data and technology development.

The project is a big win for Oklahoma as US states compete for data center investments to drive their local economies.

A $1 Billion Investment to Boost Local Infrastructure and Jobs

Backed by a $1 billion investment, Project Clydesdale will be built over a 506-acre site outside Tulsa. The development will feature multiple data center buildings constructed in phases, each covering approximately 200,000 sq. ft. The project is expected to create up to 100 permanent high-paying technical jobs and thousands of construction roles over a five-year build-out.

“This $1 billion investment and the creation of 100 high-paying jobs highlight Oklahoma’s leadership in technologies shaping the modern economy,” said Lieutenant Governor Matt Pinnell.

Strengthening Regional Utilities and Sustainability

Beale Infrastructure is collaborating with Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) and Washington County Rural Water District #3 to deliver major power and water infrastructure upgrades. These improvements will enhance grid reliability, expand public utilities, and support sustainable growth across the region.

Beale, a North American data center developer, partners with leading technology firms to deliver facilities that balance digital expansion, sustainability, and community priorities.

Community and Educational Impact

Local leaders have praised the project’s potential to generate tax revenue and boost education funding.
“When a large-scale development like this comes to our community, it’s more than concrete and servers—it’s an investment in our children’s future,” said Dr. Margaret Coates, Superintendent of Owasso Public Schools. “The revenue will help us fund better classrooms, hire more teachers, and prepare students for technology-driven careers.”

Approved and Supported by Tulsa County

Project Clydesdale received final approval from the Tulsa County Board of Commissioners on September 30, 2025, along with associated tax incentives under The Project Clydesdale Economic Development Project Plan.

Stan Sallee, Tulsa County Commissioner for District 1, emphasized the project’s wider benefits:
“This project shows how digital infrastructure can drive economic development, create construction jobs, and enhance transportation and education funding across Tulsa County.”
