Trump Organization Gold Coast Tower Project

The Trump Organization has unveiled plans to build a tower at Gold Coast, a project it purports will be Australia’s tallest building. Furthermore, local partners also note that it will be the resort in the country. Hallmarked as the U.S. president’s business arm, the firm noted the Trump International Hotel & Tower Gold Coast will be one of a kind. It will also be Trump’s company first project in Australia as they released a formal statement earlier this week on Monday.

They announced the development as a landmark project that would “rise in the heart of Surfers Paradise…one of the world’s most iconic beachfront destinations.” The statement also promised “additional details” would soon be unveiled. The acting Gold Coast mayor, Mark Hammel, said in a statement his council would “welcome investment in the city”. “A formal development application will be required, and we look forward to considering the application once it is received,” Hammel said.

On the other hand, Queensland property developer David Young posted a picture of himself shaking hands over signed documents with the president’s son, Eric Trump. The deal was inked in a white and gold gilded room in Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s Florida base. The Trump Organization is expanding its footprint on a global scale as it also plans a  Trump plaza in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The Scope on the Trump Organization Gold Coast Tower Project

The CEO of Altus Property Group noted that the photo with Trump Organization’s executive vice-president marked the signing of hotel management and brand licensing agreements. Furthermore, he noted that the project was 19 years in the making, beginning with a cold call to Ivanka Trump. “The Trump International Hotel & Tower Gold Coast development I’ve been pursuing for almost 20 years is going to be Australia’s tallest building before the end of the decade,” Young wrote.

Furthermore, he note at 340 meters in height and 91 stories, it will outstretch the Australia 108 building in Melbourne by 15 meters. Another proposed tower on the Gold Coast, One Park Lane, however, plans to soar to more than 390m. Young wrote that a third of the proposed Trump tower would be “a 6-star resort-hotel”, with another third made up of 270 apartments. “There’ll be 24/7 butlers, valet and town car service, beach cabanas, and the famous Trump concierge service for guests and residents,” he wrote.

Renders of the Trump Tower show the resort spilling out on to the famous white sand of Surfers Paradise. Despite this, the project’s announcement comes following recent years the city has hosted controversial trials for private beach bars on its glitter strip. Nonetheless, Young claimed construction at the 3 Trickett Street site would start this year.
