Spring, Suffolk communications design agency will be involved in a £5.5million worth task of making Morocco known as a world’s tourist destination. This is after the conclusion of the two-month tender where six British agencies competed for the same.
The Southwold-based firm will now start marketing Morocco in the UK, Canada and U.S for three years. The target to marketing Morocco is part of the country’s Vision 2020 tourism program to make sure it becomes one of the World’s Top 20 tourism destinations. This target will be achieved by doubling the country’s tourism income.
Erika Clegg, co-founder of Spring said, “The Moroccan Tourist Board approached us and invited us to tender direct, following our high profile work for Visit Suffolk and a number of European governments.”He added that the company had a robust creative strategy and campaign to market the country. The country, according to the co-founder, is hospitable. She said the company will engage color and texture, as well as a range of media tactics to attract visitors.
The company, which is to start the task immediately, has a satellite office in Barcelona and media partners in London and Washington, DC.
