Tensar International, a worldwide leader in the manufacture and provision of subgrade stabilisation, pavement optimisation and soil reinforcement, has appointed Southern Africa Area Civil Engineer (ACE), Colin Gewanlal, as its representative in the region, a move that will see the company strengthen its worldwide presence.
Communicating with clients, contractors and consultants, Colin will provide technical marketing and design support for the region. He will be tasked for delivering design proposals and supervision for the use of Tensar systems and will monitor and report on company’s performance in the Southern Africa region.
Colin is a registered professional engineer and holds a BSc in civil engineering and a Master’s degree in project management. He has 11 years experience in geosynthetics industry and working for consulting engineering companies and will thus bring a unique professional perspective to Tensar International.
On his appointment to the role, Colin said he was excited to start working with Tensar.
“As Area Civil Engineer I look forward to putting my skills and experience to use, applying my knowledge of engineering to ensure that Tensar systems are utilised to provide efficient, cost effective solutions that add value to projects in the region.” He said.
