The almost complete phase of Garden City institutes 33,000 square metres of retail space including 120 local and international brands that are placed in three levels, the first floor is fully taken by Game, the flagship store in Kenya for this retail giant which is part of the Walmart Group, alongside Nakumatt supermarket, Tile & Carpet Centre, and Victoria Courts.
It is not only the largest mall in East Africa but Garden City also fitted with the largest solar paneled carport in the region giving it enough room for light and fresh air which will be influential to all the customers.
The multibillion mall which has been constructed on a 32 acre piece of land along Thika Super highway will finally be opened on 28th May this year and most of the residents are anxiously anticipating its inauguration.
The second phase will constitute an additional 50,000 square metres residential and retail space, a business hotel, and more than 25,000 square metres of office space.
Private equity firm, Actis, is in charge of putting up the complex at a cost of US$ 150m.
