The construction of the $500M Qiddiya Speed Park F1 circuit in Saudi Arabia is advancing as QIC issues latest updates. An Exclusive Viewing Lounge is being built at the Speed Park in Qiddiya Entertainment City. Once complete, its aim is for an FIA Grade 1 circuit capable to host Formula 1 Grand Prix and MotoGP races. The building will add race day viewing areas, indoor lounges, guest amenities and also back-of-house service zones to the motorsport venue.

Ammico Contracting has completed the initial works for the lounge building. On the other hand, El Seif and UAE-based Alec are already delivering buildings around the racetrack. Unimac holds the estimated $480m (AED1.76bn) track and infrastructure contract awarded in February 2024. The Exclusive Viewing Lounge has been contracted to El Seif. QIC awarded the contract on July 3 2026, for a four-storey building that will serve race day viewing and guest hospitality within the Speed Park development near Riyadh. Other monumental projects in Qiddiya include Middle East’s largest water park Aquarabia. The project is Saudi Arabia’s first homegrown water theme park and the largest aquatic entertainment destination in the Middle East.

Scope of Implementation on the Qiddiya Speed Park F1 Circuit

The Qiddiya Speed Park F1 circuit and its amenities are a core tenet that the QIC seeks to ensure timely delivery on. The state-owned firm awarded hospitality as a standalone contract instead of rolling it into the track contract. Separate procurement gives the client a dedicated asset for premium guest handling, viewing circulation and race weekend services. Plans call for viewing zones, indoor seating, guest amenities and also operational support areas built for permanent use across multiple event formats. Four vertical floors also give operators room to separate public access, premium lounge functions and service activity.

This is done without compressing visitor flows into the main circuit structure. Official project data places the lounge inside a venue built for headline motorsport events. Qiddiya and PIF describe Speed Park as a world-class circuit with 21 corners, 80 garages and design speeds above 325 kilometres per hour. Project material also highlights the 70-metre Blade corner, created by Alex Wurz and Hermann Tilke, as the world’s first cantilevered track section. Qiddiya says that the feature rises as high as a 20-storey building and is designed to widen spectator sightlines across the circuit.
