It was determined in July last year that Azizi developments plans to build a 122-storey mixed use building with the newest seven star hotel in Dubai expecting completion by 2027.

DSGN, a South African firm, has been appointed interior design consultants for the 1.5 billion dollar Burj Azizi tower currently under construction. IFG has also been selected to tackle the towers foundationworks. According to Azizi Developments, the Burj Azizi is to be the second tallest sky scraper in the world after the Burj Khalifa also located in Dubai.

Height of the Burj Azizi

However, the exact height remains undisclosed as it awaits approval by authorities.. The tower is expected to be over 670m tall but it must be taller than both marina 101 (425m) as well as Princess Tower (413m). It should also undoubtedly be taller than the ongoing Frank Muller Aeternitas tower (450m), which is expected to be the tallest residential clock tower in the world.

Currently the second tallest building in the world is the 679m Markeba 118 in Malaysia while the tallest, the Burj Khalifa, stands at 828m. Dubai based developers Meydan previously planned to build a 100-storey Meydan Tower but the project stalled soon after it started in 2017. Moreover Azizi Developments subsidiary, Gardinia, will carry out the construction works of the Burj Azizi.

Facilities of the Building

The sky scraper is expected to be an attraction for both locals and tourists through its elegant hotel, vertical malls and futuristic residence among other facilities. It also strategically positioned being just 8mins drive to Dubai Mall, 20 mins to Palm Jameira and just 18mins away from the Burj Al Arab. Azizi developers plan on seeing the construction through by use of their own equity.

The project is expected to stretch out over a period of four years in which time all their proposals will actualize. If completed in time, the Burj Azizi will undoubtedly put Dubai’s real estate at a front foot in the world of infrastructure.
