Swisatec: Blue Rock Village, Africa’s first green village, proud supporters of the World Green Building Week hosted by the World Green Building Council in partnership with Green Building Council South Africa.
Blue Rock Village, Africa’s first green village, developed by Swisatec an architecture and project management firm in Cape Town is proud to announce its support for the World Green Building Week hosted by the World Green Building Council in conjunction with the Green Building Council South Africa.
Blue Rock Village is one of the projects selected by the Green Building Council South Africa as a pilot project for the Green Star Communities Rating Tool which is originally from Australia.
The village is currently targeting a 6-start Green Star SA-Communities Rating, which will position Blue Rock Village as a world-class development that is credibly green and internationally recognised by the GBCSA.
The World Green Building Week is the flagship event of green building movement and led by the World Green Building Council, which GBCSA , a proud member/partner of.
The event starts on the 26 September to 2 October 2016. It’s the annual opportunity for Green Building Councils, their members and leaders from around the world to showcase in how their actions and leadership are helping to deliver green buildings in their own countries, and to celebrate the positive outcomes they lead to.
The theme for 2016 World Green Building is ‘Change Your Perspective’ an evolution of World GBC’s #BetterBuildGreen campaign. There are so many untold facts and figure that can genuinely change how people think about buildings, and specifically green building.
We need them to understand the impact and benefits that green building can have on global emissions, energy, water, health and well-being, the economy and beyond. It’s time to change their perspective.
In support of the initiative, Swisatec and Blue Rock Village will run a campaign to educate the public on the benefits of buying a Blue Rock Village luxury apartment which is build based on European standards with fittings that have a positive impact on health and well -being, energy, the economy, emissions, and water saving systems.
The campaign will run on all Blue Rock Village social media platforms with different activities expected for the duration of the World Green Building Week.
