A California-based apartment builder, Fairfield Residential, is setting its sights on a new venture in North Texas and gearing up for the Fairfield Midway Apartments project in Farmers Branch. The Fairfield Midway Apartments comes with an estimated cost of $60 million and will span an impressive 600,000 square feet. Situated on Midway Road to the north of LBJ Freeway, this project is slated to transform a site currently occupied by industrial building within a commercial district that traces its origins back to the 1970s.
The Fairfield Midway Apartments in Farmers Branch will encompass an amenity center and leasing office on the ground floor. The blueprint also features a rooftop terrace planned atop the parking garage. Additionally, two courtyards and two dog parks are slated to be part of this comprehensive project, as outlined in city filings. The new apartment complex will rise in an area that was once dominated by commercial structures.
Unit Count in the Upcoming Fairfield Midway Apartments in Farmers Branch
The Fairfield Midway Apartments will encompass over 360 rental units. The developer is planning to commence construction in early 2024. As per documents submitted for planning approval, the development is on track to open its doors in the early months of 2026. CNK Architects, based in Bedford, is taking charge of designing the project, which received the green light from Farmers Branch earlier this year.
The Fairfield Midway Apartments in Farmers Branch venture follows a trend of transformation in the region, like the redevelopment of the Centre office park across Midway on McEwen. The warehouse district, which dates back to the 1970s and spans between Midway and the Galleria, is also witnessing a wave of renewal, with developers like Billingsley Co. and OHT Partners planning apartment constructions.
