Kuwait’s housing project in the country’s Saad Al-Abdullah city broke ground as the construction project commenced. China-based, China Gezhouba Group is the company mandated with the task of overseeing and constructing the project. The location of the project is strategically located at the Jahra Governorate. This is 25 kilometers west of the city of Kuwait. The scope of the project includes the covering of about 64 square kilometers in area. The project is also projected to host 21,800 housing units that will be equipped with full amenities. The Kuwait housing project once completed will host and cater for at least 150,000 residents.

The company contracted on the project is tasked with the duty of conducting earthworks excavation as well as filling. The company is also tasked with building more than 150 kilometers of new roads and bridges in the area. The scope of the project also includes the construction of about 975 kilometers of various pipelines. The pipelines will be used in water supply for the houses being constructed. The project manager insight that the project will include solar lighting panels and a rainwater reservoir system.
