Real estate company LMD breaks ground on W Residences Cairo and W Cairo, which are expected to mark the introduction of the W Hotels brand in Egypt and across Africa. Eng. Amr Sultan, CEO of LMD together with Mr. Shady Hassan, Vice President, of Lodging Development, in the Middle East and Africa, Marriott International, laid the foundation stone with Eng. Ahmed Sabbour, the Chairman of LMD, and a number of media personnel.
LMD allocated EGP 10 bn to develop the W residences, which Marriott International will manage.
This shows the start of construction works as part of the largest and most important residential area in LMD’s flagship mixed-use project in New Cairo, One Ninety, and a calculated venue on South 90th Street at the intersection with the Ring Road. W Residences Cairo is being constructed on an area of 120,000 sqm with a total investment of EGP 14 billion. The master plans of W Residences Cairo and W Cairo were developed by SOM, a famous company in urban planning, and both Gensler and BJB gave out the architectural and interior designs for the place.
The buildings are expected to include 300 units comprising hotel apartments and penthouses with great designs that offer residents with a different and elevated experience that totals comfort, luxury, and tranquillity. All residential units will have a panoramic view of the Urban Park, gardens and One Ninety.
