Plans are underway for the construction of the Holiday Inn Express in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This was announced recently by IHG Hotels & Resorts, through a press release. The international leader in hospitality boasts over 6,000 hotels across about 18 distinct brands. Additionally, the company operates 37 hotels across five of its successful brands.

Holiday Inn Express in Riyadh strives to bring the ‘next generation’ design to Olaya. Thus, and in extension, it aligns with the country’s 2030 vision for the tourism sector. 

Officially, IHG signed the project’s management agreement with a Riyadh-based real estate developer, AlWoroud Real Estate. The project’s contract reflects the company’s determination to establish its world-class brands. In addition to providing elevated offerings to new as well as growing segments of the Saudi market. 

Overview of the Holiday Inn Express in Riyadh

The project’s target launch date has been set for 2026. The mixed-use development will be open within the bustling Olaya district. Moreover, it strives to exhibit design that is bold, fresh, and ‘next generation’. As a result, it will also serve as a suitable launch pad, especially for connecting leisure and business travelers.

It will feature a total of 200 value-conscious rooms. In addition to Holiday Inn Express hallmarks such as smart TVs, high-speed Wifi, and premiums bedding. Additionally, the signature complimentary ‘Express Start Breakfast’ and quick check-ins will be available.

While commenting on the project, the Managing Director of IHG Hotels & Resorts said that the company aims to continue expanding in Saudi Arabia. Haitham Mattar further said that the Holiday Inn Express Project will become the first choice for an increasing number of travelers. Especially to travelers entering the country that would need a simple, and engaging place to rest.

The Chief Executive Officer of AlWoroud Real Estate also spoke about the project. Mohammed AlBalwi expressed delight over partnering with IHG Hotels & Resorts for the project.
