Plans for the construction of a new lounge at LAX’s Tom Bradley International Terminal have been announced. The plans were announced by Air France.
Reportedly, the vast international terminal in Los Angeles’ West Gates would house the new lounge. Estimated to measure 11,500 square feet, the space may grow to 13,800 square feet if Air France so chooses. Although not the biggest in the world, it is considerably larger than the majority of Air France lounges in North America. However, it is around the same size as the American Express Centurion Lounge at LAX.
Once it opens, the new lounge at LAX Tom Bradley Int’l Terminal ought to become a popular choice for SkyTeam passengers departing from Los Angeles who have already entered the Oneworld Lounge or the subpar Korean Air KAL Lounge. Considering that Terminals 2 and 3 are still where Delta international passengers depart from, they can continue to use the stunning new Delta Sky Club at LAX.

In June 2023, Los Angeles World Airports will decide whether to approve the airline’s 15-year lease agreement for the new location. With support from airport workers and no opposition from other airlines or lounge providers, the decision should be a breeze.
History of the Air France LAX Lounge
But first-class and business travellers might fill up this brand-new Air France lounge. Air France has up to four daily flights to Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and another daily trip to Tahiti (PPT). KLM, a sibling company, has up to two daily flights to Amsterdam (AMS). Travellers who hold SkyTeam Elite Plus status and premium cabin passengers on other SkyTeam carriers including Korean Air and China carriers may also utilize this lounge.
It has been planned for years to open an Air France lounge in Los Angeles. The airport first permitted Air France to operate a lounge in the terminal under a different 10-year leasing deal. However, that decision was made in early March 2020, just days before the epidemic decimated the aircraft industry.
