The demolition and construction of Carle Health behavioural health centre in Chicago, the future home of Trillium Place Young Minds Center, an affiliate of Carle Health in West Peoria has begun. The new facility will serve the children and adolescents. P.J. Hoerr will begin building on the $25–$30 million centre after a phase of deconstruction.

In order to meet the safety and legal requirements of an inpatient behavioural health hospital, the healthcare system is concentrating reconstruction efforts on converting the area from a nursing home to a youth-based centre. There will be bright colours, a kid-friendly environment, and activity rooms for therapy. Additionally, there are recreational activities and outdoor areas in the new centre.

The property purchased in 2022 will undergo renovations. It will become a facility offering outpatient mental health and addiction therapies. Furthermore, youth-focused inpatient mental health care for children and adolescents aged 4 to 17. Carle Health behavioural health centre will offer close-to-home comprehensive behavioural health care for children and their families.
They will introduce intense outpatient and partial hospitalization programming and expand access to outpatient clinic services for kids and teenagers. The centre will increase the number of inpatient beds in Peoria from 23 to 44 beds. Additionally, it will offer youth services in one convenient location, offering counselling. It will also offer Psychiatry, crisis services, addiction treatment, and inpatient mental health treatments.
