Construction work on a seven-building project dubbed Courtney Ridge Apartments in Charlotte, North Carolina is now complete.

Earlier in 2018, the developer, The Milestone Group acquired the existing 280-unit property with plans of expanding it. The expansion plans for the Courtney Ridge Apartments involved developing an additional 180 residential units across seven garden-style apartment buildings.

The Courtney Ridge Apartments received construction funding from PNC Bank. The developers contracted TuckerCraft based in Georgia to serve as general contractor. While South Carolina’s SGA|NW handled the architectural designs and Design Resource Group of Charlotte was the project’s engineer.

Michael Sauer spearheaded the daily development and construction activities of the project. 

Features of the Courtney Ridge Apartments in Charlotte

The new 180  Courtney Ridge Apartment units include a combination of one, two, and three-bedroom floor plans. All units have been furnished with amenities such as 42-inch cabinets, washers, and dryers, as well as large balconies. In addition, select units will offer free-standing showers and ceilings about 11 feet high. 

Courtney Ridge Apartments also offer shared amenities such as a coffee bar, kitchen area, patios, and a 24/7 package delivery center. Additionally, residents will have access to uninterrupted unit-to-common area fiber-optic Wi-Fi connectivity as well as a clubhouse with individual workstation consoles.

According to Milestone’s V.P.,  Michael Sauer,  this expansion commenced a year after the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Sauer said the timing enabled the company to incorporate facilities that cater to the evolving preferences and needs of tenants.

He pointed out amenities on the property such as the on-site conference room which includes industry-grade conferencing capabilities.

Nearby amenities

The property’s location at 7030 Parkway Commons Drive will allow residents to enjoy easy commutes. Especially since the apartments are in close proximity to the intersection of Billy Graham Parkway and Interstate 77. 

In addition, uptown Charlotte is less than 7 miles away. While Charlotte Douglas International Airport is approximately 15 minutes away from the property.
