A 7.6 MW solar installation for a Fortune 100 client in a sizable commercial office park in Columbus, Ohio, has been built by Empower Energies.

The project, developed and built by Empower Energies, features rooftop solar on 4 and 5-story buildings in addition to a sizable solar canopy spanning multiple parking lots. Current electrical distribution equipment connects the project’s two components.

In the first year of operation, the project will produce more than 9 million kWh of green, pure solar energy, which will offset more than 6,500 metric tons of carbon dioxide. This will result in a significant reduction in the site’s carbon footprint. Additionally, it will provide a consistent source of clean solar energy for many years.
