As an addition to Soni McAlister Field, where the soccer and lacrosse teams now play, Rawlinson Stadium, named for the family of philanthropist Joseph Rawlinson of the Los Angeles region, is scheduled to start building later this year. A natural grass pitch, up to 2,500 spectator seats, viewing decks, a press box, a box office, concession kiosks, and an entry plaza are all included in the $38 million project at 3000 S. Hoover Street.
In addition to team conference rooms, a sports medicine area, a nutrition fuelling bar, and a meeting space for coaches, Rawlinson Stadium will also have new, dedicated locker rooms for the soccer and lacrosse teams.

The current Soni McAlister Field has been operational since 1998 and can accommodate about 1,000 spectators. The USC women’s lacrosse team has participated in five NCAA tournaments during its existence, while the women’s soccer team has won two national titles.
