VOX at Cumulus, a 7-story, 910-unit premium mixed-use development by Carmel Partners, has opened at 3333 La Cienega Boulevard in Los Angeles. The complex has 1,210 multifamily units and 100,000 square feet of retail space. It is the newest and largest multifamily project in the Cumulus District.
According to Los Angeles Times, the creation of VOX at Cumulus started in 2020. Carmel paid $110.6 million to purchase a radio station owned and run by Cumulus Media. The nearby 300-unit residential skyscraper ARQ at Cumulus was completed in 2021. It received approval for its zoning and construction from the Los Angeles City Council in August of that year. Further, the tallest free-standing building in the vicinity is AQR at Cumulus. It stands on the site of the former broadcaster and has 31 floors.

Along with PSOMAS acting as the project’s civil engineer, Carmel Partners collaborated with TCA Architects, which handled the architectural work. Furthermore, the structural, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and landscaping designs were provided by DCI Engineers, Seal Electric, AMPAM, DFDA, and MLA, respectively. Greystar has been chosen by Carmel to be in charge of managing and running the community.
Details of the VOX at Cumulus mixed-use community in Los Angeles
VOX at Cumulus is a Green Point Platinum-certified building that has 1,736 solar panels, a pedestrian park with natural green areas, a rainwater infiltration system, and charging stations for electric vehicles at 20% of its parking spaces.
Additionally, residents have access to two different pools and clubhouses, indoor and outdoor gaming spaces, a recording studio, a private dining room with an adjacent bar and a health centre. Additionally, it has a yoga studio and a co-working space with conference rooms throughout the community’s 14 acres. Furthermore, Whole Foods Market occupies half of the 100,000 square feet of retail space on the property.
