A master-planned Easton Park Community is getting set for massive residential developments, which could provide up to 12000 new homes in southeast Austin. Eight builders are involved in this housing development and the builders currently working on the build-out include Taylor Morrison Home, Perry Homes, Pacesetter Homes, Newmark Homes,  Meritage Homes and Brookfield Residential, which is the largest of them all.

Located near the Tesla Gigafactory, on the southwest of the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, the 3,200-acre Easton Park Community still has a long way to go before reaching its final mark of 12,000 homes, with prices ranging from $234,000 to $674,000. Developers say it could take upto a decade to round up the project.

3,200-acre Easton Park Community to be built around the Tesla complex

According to Tammy Schneider, the Brookfield Vice President of Sales and Marketing, a few short of a thousand homes in Easton Park have been closed, although a lot more have also been sold. Brookfield is working towards a full build-out of this 3,200-acre Southeast Austin planned community around the Tesla complex and other new commercial developments.

The master-planned Easton Park Community development has been steadily progressing and recently, plans for a 300-unit apartment building within Easton Park were submitted by Consort Inc.; a civil engineering firm, working in partnership with Houston-based Hines Group on this project. Plans were also submitted for 200 new single-family homes, which are to be built on plots that have already been mapped out for condominiums.

The president of Brookfield Residential Texas, Brad Chelton, gave more insights on several commercial developments, which are either currently under construction or were planned to be built at major intersections within the Easton Park Community. He mentioned that the park would soon boast a CVS location, a McDonalds, a car wash, a Summer Moon Coffee store, and other businesses as well. Chelton also stated that there was still more coming to the intersection of East William Cannon Drive and McKinney Fall Parkway, and he said this development is good for the area because it adds an element of retail and neighborhood services to the Easton Park Community, which isn’t available at the moment.
